Lime Plastering
A traditional, breathable plaster that lets older buildings manage moisture the way they were built to.

What it is
About lime plastering
Lime plaster has been used for centuries. Unlike modern gypsum or cement, it's soft and breathable, so moisture can move through the wall and evaporate rather than becoming trapped.
That makes it the right choice for solid-walled and period properties, where the wrong plaster can lead to damp and decay. It takes skill and patience to apply well.
Typically used for
- Period, listed and older properties
- Solid stone or brick walls
- Repairing original lime plaster
- Cottages and conversions
- Walls with damp caused by modern plasters
