Decorative Plaster Beams
Hand-sculpted beams that look like centuries-old oak, carved and coloured in plaster to bring warmth and character to a room.

What it is
About decorative plaster beams
Plaster beams are built up and shaped by hand, then carved with grain, splits, knots and peg details before being coloured to look like weathered oak. Up close, most people can't tell them from real timber.
Because they're formed in place, they can be made to any length or shape, wrapped around existing structures, and finished to match the rest of the room. They're far lighter than solid oak and don't twist, shrink or crack the way real timber can.
Typically used for
- Barn conversions and vaulted ceilings
- Adding character to extensions and new builds
- Boxing in steel beams and RSJs
- Feature posts, lintels and mantels
- Rooms where real oak would be too heavy or costly
